“Tradition, Faith, Mystery, Service: Wart Healing and Folk Cures in Northwest Alabama” was published in the Alabama Folklife Association’s journal, Tributaries, in 2020. This research-based essay was based on fieldwork conducted with folklorist Jennifer Joy Jameson in 2015, with funding from the Joyce H. Cauthen Fellowship awarded by Alabama Folklife in 2015.
